UMVI PRODUCTION UNITS:

UMVI has two production units. St. Joseph’s Garage, the production unit for Automotive Mechanics Section, was established in by Mr. Hans Raffeiner in1996. The garage is located next to the Diocesan offices in Soroti Municipality. Meanwhile, the Carpentry Production Unit (CPU), established in by Konrad Steighler in 1998, is located within UMVI Complex, and is a skills-polishing ground for students of Woodwork Technology.



The two Production Units are semi-autonomous departments. They generate their revenue and manage their running costs. They offer more detailed and thorough skills to students who graduate from their respective sections. The two production units have won the confidence of the community within and outside Soroti Municipality because of the high quality of their services and products. The productions units occasionally generate some income for the school.
